The TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion is a state-of-the-art, affordable nationally recognized high school equivalency assessment that comprises five subject areas including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. It measures examinees’ knowledge, skills, and abilities relative to that of graduating high school seniors, and career and college readiness, as outlined by the United States Department of Education’s Office of Career and Technical Adult Education (OCTAE).

TASC New Test Content and Test’s Rigorous Technical Foundation and New Field tested and normed in 2013, with new items added to forms annually, the TASC test delivers the newest high school equivalency content available. It is aligned to the Office of Career and Technical Adult Education (OCTAE) and College and Career Readiness Standards.

All items have been field tested on nationally representative samples of graduating high school seniors and diverse samples of adult learners. The TASC test includes:

  • Valid and reliable measurement of college and career readiness content

  • Item response theory scaling and equating to support accuracy and form equivalence

  • Appropriate and meaningful passing and domain-level scores​

Delivery Format: DRC INSIGHT Online Testing Engine and Paper/pencil

Registration: Online registration and scheduling system with the choice to enable self-registration and virtual scheduling

Accommodations: Large print, Braille and audio CD versions

Scoring: Computer-based testing scores are available within 3-5 days and Paper-based and writing tests are sent to DRC|CTB and scores are returned within 5-10 days
