Success Stories
DRC provides variable printing, insertion, and mailing services for direct marketing, financial statements, and other communication projects. The following profiles illustrate some of our projects.

Our Customer's Need
A large Midwest-based bank wanted to send a letter to 80,000 of its customers making it easy for them to use funds from their home equity account for holiday dollars.

DRC’s Solution
We worked with the customer to:
  • Design a pre-printed letterform with attached, perforated check blanks
  • Develop a custom program to convert the data file provided by the bank to the format needed for variable printing of the letter and check account information
  • Use Group I postal software to standardize addresses and add zip + 4 codes

The Result
  • Used Group I postal software to standardize addresses and add zip + 4 codes
  • Folded and inserted the letter/check document, along with an information sheet about bank rate changes, into a #10 envelope and mailed letters in the most efficient and cost effective manner

RBC Dain Rauscher

The Challenge
Like most large brokerage houses, RBC Dain Rauscher performs a massive number of trades each day. Every trade generates a printed confirmation that must be mailed out in a prescribed number of hours in order to meet the SEC guidelines. These highly secure, customized mailings with their quick turn-around times leave no room for error.

But what happens when a trade is cancelled or an error is made and flagged before the stock market closes? Customers cancelling or adjusting trades would be very alarmed to receive in their mail a printed confirmation detailing the original transaction.

To keep customers at ease and promote flexibility, RBC Dain Rauscher sought solutions that would give them more time to provide vetted data to the printer, without compromising the mailing deadline.

The Solution
DRC developed a carefully integrated process, creatively using time zone and zip code data to stretch the fixed bank of time between receiving the transaction data and mailing the confirmation—buying RBC Dain Rauscher a full twelve hours.

DRC also developed a process to manually locate and pull flagged files for those last minute catches. Using information from a sophisticated camera and barcode system, DRC is able to carefully track each insertion and piece of mail, allowing for greater accuracy and data security.

The DRC Difference
Cookie cutter solutions may work to keep costs down at larger printing houses, but DRC prides itself on creating solutions that make sense. Both DRC and RBC Dain Rauscher understand that it is difficult to put a price on client confidence, especially when it comes to documenting accurate financial transactions.

“DRC has come through for us time after time in challenging circumstances. The reason we keep coming back to DRC is that we have complete confidence in their ability to deliver to our standards.”
