Online Testing
DRC is ready to assist your State Department of Education in developing and implementing online testing programs through a unique partnership DRC has secured with Dr. John Poggio, professor of educational psychology and research at the University of Kansas, and co-founder of Computerized Assessments and Learning (CAL).

Together with our e-testing and research partner, Computerized Assessments and Learning (CAL), we develop and administer web-based testing programs for several DRC clients. View CAL's Site

Idaho Standards Achievement Tests (ISAT)

Contract Years: 2006 – 2010

Administration: The assessments are administered in reading, language usage, and mathematics for students in grades 3–8 and 10, and in science for students in grades 5, 7, and 10.

Project Description: DRC, together with our e-testing and research partner, Computerized Assessments & Learning, LLC (CAL), develop and administer assessments for the Idaho Standards Achievement Tests (ISAT). The criterion-referenced tests are based on Idaho content standards tests and are given to approximately 20,000 students per grade across 114 districts and 750 schools. The assessments include multiple-choice items only and are primarily administered via online with a small number of paper-based tests. DRC also provides consultation to the Idaho Office of the State Board of Education (OSBE) on meeting the requirements of NCLB, including AYP, peer review, and Idaho’s accountability system.

Alaska Computerized Formative Assessments (ACFA)

Contract Years: 2006

Administration: The assessments are administered to students in grades 3 – 10 in reading and mathematics.

Project Description: ACFA are formative assessments which are linked to specific Alaska content standards and grade level expectations (GLEs). The online tests provide a tool for teachers to monitor the progress of students frequently with fast results, rather than waiting for the results of once-a-year statewide assessments. Formative assessments allow teachers to change their instruction to meet the needs of each student while they're still teaching the unit.

Administration: The assessment is a small, one-time administration being offered to the South Carolina State Department of Education, Office of Assessment, to grades 4–8 in social studies.

Project Description: This project will introduce online testing at the elementary and middle school levels.
