Q: I am interested in joining DRC, but there is not a current opening that matches my background. What should I do?
A: Click on “Contact HR” and send us a brief email describing your background and interests. If there is a potential fit at DRC, we will contact you.
Q: I’m interested in more than one position that is posted on the web site. Do I need to apply for them all separately?
A: Yes – to ensure that you are considered for each job, go to the page for each job in which you are interested, click on “Apply Now”, and submit your information and résumé for each one.
Q: What should I include as an attachment when I apply for a job?
A: Please include a cover letter and résumé in Microsoft Word. You do not need to complete an application form or include references at this time.
Q: If I am hired, when am I eligible for benefits?
A: You are eligible to participate in DRC’s benefit plans on the 1st of the month after your start date as a regular DRC employee.
Q: Are unsolicited search firm and agency submissions accepted?
A: DRC does not accept unsolicited résumés from search firms or agencies.
Q: What do I do after I submit my résumé?
A: Be patient. After receiving your résumé, we will review your qualifications to see if they match any open positions that we currently have. If they do, an HR Representative may contact you to discuss next steps. If we do not have a current opening matching your qualifications, we will retain your résumé according to state guidelines. We encourage you to re-apply if you are interested in other opportunities as well.
Q: What are the steps in the hiring process?
A: If we determine that you meet the qualifications of a current opening, a member of our Human Resources team will contact you to schedule a time to discuss your background, experience, interest and the current opening. After the initial conversation, if you are selected to proceed in the process, we will schedule you for interviews with other individuals related to this position. Our goal is to make the interview process as convenient and as informative for you as possible.
