Data Analysis & Interpretation
DRC’s survey consultants help clients analyze their data with the right tools.
- Conduct quantitative analyses—DRC’s survey consultants can provide both basic (e.g., descriptive statistics) and advanced analyses to further exploit the information in the customer dataset. Key Driver Analysis (KDA) can be a particularly useful analytic tool in determining priorities for follow-up in the action planning process. KDA helps identify survey items or topics that exert the most influence on an outcome of interest. This information can be used to target process improvement efforts so that they more quickly and effectively influence the outcome (e.g., satisfaction) than simply concentrating on the lowest-scoring items in the survey (some of which may have minimal impact on the outcome).
- Provide qualitative analyses—Responses to a well-crafted open-ended question can increase the actionability of the survey results because comments help reveal the “why” behind the “what” of the quantitative ratings. DRC’s survey consultants can increase the value of client comments even further by conducting content analyses which can determine and summarize the most prevalent positive and negative themes in the comments.
- Integrate results into interpretive reports —DRC’s survey consultants provide a written summary of the survey findings in which they describe and interpret results, highlight key findings, and offer conclusions and recommendations. Interpretive reports typically integrate findings from all analyses, such as KDA, conducted on the survey.
