What You Need to Do
Medicare-certified home health agencies (HHAs) need to
- Complete the following three forms on the HHCAHPS survey website:
- Select an approved HHCAHPS survey vendor.
- Assign one of their employees the responsibility of understanding HHCAHPS requirements and facilitating the HHCAHPS program.
- Ensure their budget includes the cost of administering the HHCAHPS survey.
- Incorporate the HHCAHPS survey into their regular business operations as soon as possible. HHAs will be required to participate in a dry run of the HHCAHPS survey for at least one month in July, August or September 2010. National implementation of the HHCAHPS survey will begin in October 2010.
