Susan Shannon Engeleiter

As CEO and President, Susan Engeleiter leads the organization and manages the day to day operations of DRC’s three divisions. She has established a strong track record of driving innovation within DRC. Ms. Engeleiter is responsible for business planning and development that includes strategic investments, acquisitions, and partnerships. Her primary focus has been to create and improve processes within DRC, and to keep pace with evolving customer needs and the increasing demand for our company’s services. Ms. Engeleiter holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School and also earned a Bachelor of Science in English and Communications from the University of Wisconsin.​

Russ Hagen

Russ Hagen founded DRC in 1978. Since then, the company’s full-time employee base has grown to more than 750 people, with more than 3,000 temporary workers employed during peak periods. Mr. Hagen is an active and past board member of numerous educational, business, and civic organizations, including the United States Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Twin Cities Public Television, St. Cloud State University, Anchor Bank and SJE Rhombus. Mr. Hagen earned a Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry and Mathematics from St. Cloud State University.

CIO/Chief Strategy Officer

John Bandy

John Bandy is an information systems executive with more than 35 years of experience leading large-scale, corporate initiatives. As CIO, he provides leadership and direction to DRC's Information Services personnel who support all of our clients in DRC’s Education, Surveys, and Document Services/Businesses. Mr. Bandy has been a champion of quality, process, and cost-effective delivery throughout his career. Prior to joining DRC, Mr. Bandy was a senior member of the Information Services executive team at one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the country. Mr. Bandy earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.​

Executive Vice President, Psychometrics

Marc Julian

Dr. Marc Julian has over 25 years of psychometric research experience in the assessment industry. Dr. Julian oversees all psychometric activities for DRC’s large-scale assessment programs, ensuring that methodologies and processes are valid and legally defensible. This includes direct oversight and leadership of psychometric staff and the research conducted in support of DRC’s clients; enhancement of test development procedures and psychometric systems; and the production of documentation related to reliability and validity. Dr. Julian holds a Doctorate in Educational Measurement from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

Executive Vice President, Education Solutions

Troy Couillard

Troy Couillard leads the development and marketing of DRC’s assessment products (TerraNova, DRC BEACON, LAS Links, and TABE). He comes to DRC with a wealth of experience in public education. After a career of more than twenty years in the classroom as a special and general education teacher at all grade levels he moved into school and building leadership as a Principal and as a Director of Pupil Services. At the state level he has been both the Assistant Director of Special Education and the Director of Assessment for the state of Wisconsin. He has a Bachelor of Science in Special and Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Curriculum and Development as well as numerous special certifications in school leadership and special education.

Executive Vice President, Licensure and Certification

Holly Saraullo

Holly Saraullo has more than 25 years of experience in the assessment, licensure, and certification industry. This experience includes work across business development, account management, test development, operations, and finance. Ms. Saraullo has in-depth, significant customer interface experience across multiple verticals in the testing industry, leading internal cross-functional teams with direct and indirect functional accountability. In her current role, Ms. Saraullo is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for DRC’s work in the licensure and certification market. Ms. Saraullo plays an integral role in working across the business to ensure client success. Ms. Saraullo holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Chief Officer, Operations

Seth Kahler

Seth Kahler brings nearly 15 years of extensive operational and project management experience to his position as Chief Officer, Operations. Mr. Kahler is responsible for providing vision and leadership to the operation team. This includes all phases of production scheduling, printing, packaging, materials distribution and collection, warehouse operations, document processing (scanning, editing and clerical support), and secure storage of materials. Mr. Kahler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Executive Vice President, Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

Patty McDivitt

Patty McDivitt oversees all phases of the item and test development process for DRC’s K–12 large-scale assessment programs. She also directs the activities of the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Development department, including curriculum unit and lesson plan developers, publications staff, editorial staff, and performance assessment handscoring staff. Ms. McDivitt has over 35 years of direct, hands-on educational curriculum, instruction, and assessment development experience, including experience in the development of assessments designed to link students’ results with postsecondary education and career decision-making. She holds a Master of Science in Education, School Guidance and Counseling, and Secondary Teaching in English Language Arts with a Special Education Endorsement. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education English Language Arts. Both degrees are from Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana.

​Doug Russell

Doug Russell has over 40 years of industry experience. He is the senior leader responsible for DRC’s Education Program Management organization, overseeing Program Management Teams that develop and deliver assessment solutions to DRC’s Education clients nationwide. Mr. Russell acts as an executive client liaison, ensuring project teams have the right resources, capabilities, and skills to meet evolving customer needs. In addition to his work in educational assessment, Mr. Russell has a strong background in operations and marketing, working in both plant and corporate environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and an Associate’s degree in Journalism from Graham College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Executive Vice President, Business Development and Government Affairs

​Sandy Wiese

Sandy Wiese manages government affairs and follows education policy on behalf of DRC, and co-leads business development efforts for DRC. Ms. Wiese is a senior attorney, with more than 30 years of experience in government affairs, education policy and assessment, corporate law, and small business assistance. Prior to joining DRC, she worked in the federal government as the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Washington, D.C. and in state government as the Chief of Staff to the Wisconsin Senate Minority Leader. Ms. Wiese also served in senior-level positions in Government Affairs and Law with two Fortune 500 companies. She holds a Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.​

Chief Quality Officer/Executive Vice President, Customer Service

Niall Finn

Niall Finn, Chief Quality Officer/Executive Vice President, Customer Service, leads the development and enhancement of key work processes for the delivery of products and services to DRC’s clients. His responsibilities include compliance practices for all quality processes and risk management plans within DRC’s educational assessment clients and products. Mr. Finn also oversees and directs DRC’s customer service, technical support and order management processes and teams nationwide. Mr. Finn earned a Masters of Management in Marketing from the Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Production Management from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

General Counsel and Sr VP, Contract Management

​Jennifer Eastman

Jennifer Eastman is a senior attorney with over 35 years of experience in corporate law and contract management. Ms. Eastman leads the contract management process for the negotiation and implementation of contracts for DRC. Prior to joining DRC, she worked on the internal counsel team at Honeywell International Inc., where she gained expertise in counseling an international sales force on deal structures, contract formation, and regulatory and compliance matters. Ms. Eastman holds a Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Education & Child Study from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and completed undergraduate coursework at Harvard University. ​
